One of our members Maxine Ashford has joined the Women’s World Car of the Year 2020 as a judge.

Amongst her already busy life as Motoring Journalist, Maxine has now taken on a new position for the Women’s World car of the Year. It is the only awards in the world run exclusively by women journalists to judge the latest and greatest cars. In total there are 44 judges from 36 countries from all continents of the world.

WCOTY was created in 2009 by New Zealand journalist Sandy Myhre.

The aim is to choose the best cars each year using the usual aspects of safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits and environmental footprint. It is not just a ‘woman’s car’. The key to the groups’ aims is to let the motor industry understand the power and influence women make in car-buying decisions worldwide.

We wish Maxine every success and look forward to the selection made by their judges this year.
