Entries have started coming in for thewesterngroup driving day in under two months time.

Alyson Marlow has been working to set up the dedicated log-in website for the event and process the entries of cars and PRs.

“Once Easter is out of the way I expect the rate of entries coming in will pick up as PRs tend to focus their attention on the immediate future and may see the PR Day on 2 June as a long way off, but it isn’t,” she said.

The event at Castle Combe follows the highly successful and familiar format of the last two decades with PRs getting the opportunity to be muttering rotters for a day and drive a wide range of competitors’ models and to put some through their paces around the newly resurfaced and quicker track.

PRs only pay for themselves and they can bring free of charge as many cars as they like for their colleagues to evaluate.

Thewesterngroup will provide lunch and on-going refreshments and has added a few additional tests for the competitive PRs and some welcome diverting relaxation is being laid on.

Group chairman John Kendall said, “The Western Group Driving Day is ‘the‘ event of the year for all the PRs we know and while we appreciate not everyone will be able to attend because of launches on at the same time, we hope those who do come along will thoroughly enjoy it as they have done for over 20 years.”
