Classical singer Russell Watson helped The Prince’s Trust raise £45,000 to support unemployed young people in the South West.

The sold-out Prince’s Trust and Mitsubishi UK Classical at Highgrove event headlined by Russell Watson, raised more than £45,000 for the youth charity. Guests were treated to a night of luxury at Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall’s country estate in Tetbury a few miles from the Cirencester HQ of Mitsubishi.

From a champagne and canapé reception inside the exquisite Orchard Room followed by a sumptuous four-course meal to performances from Lady Deirdre Dyson and Russell Watson, it was a resounding success.

Russell, who received a standing ovation for his set, said, “I’m delighted to have performed at this prestigious event for such a worthwhile cause.

“It was great to meet some of the young people who have benefited from the support The Prince’s Trust offers and understand how Tabitha and Kally’s lives have changed. Having the determination and confidence to overcome challenges and succeed are amazing qualities and they should be very proud of themselves.”
